In this paper, an exact analytical solution for creeping flow of Bingham plastic fluid passing through curved rectangular ducts is presented for the first time. The closed form of axial velocity distribution, flow resistance ratio, and wall shear stress are derived using bounded Fourier transformation. An extensive investigation on mutual effects of Hedstrom number, curvature ratio, and aspect ratio is conducted. The results indicate that a drag reduction is caused in the flow field by increasing the Hedstrom number. It is shown that unlike the Newtonian creeping Dean flow, the critical aspect ratio (an aspect ratio in which the flow resistance ratio is independent from curvature ratio) does not exist at large enough Hedstrom numbers. Analytical solution also indicated that as Hedstrom number is increased, the value of Poiseuille number is enhanced, and unlike the Newtonian flows, the value of Poiseuille number is not zero at edges of cross section.  相似文献

A newly developed exchange-correlation functional (MPWB1K) in density functional theory has been applied to evaluate the electron delocalization of individual fragments in the stacking interaction between nucleic acid bases (NABs). Electronically and structural-based indices have been employed to investigate the aromaticity variation during stacking interaction. A quantitative study of NABs in their isolated and stacked forms reveals that stacking interaction causes a decrease in bond delocalization. It is shown that the decrease in the aromaticity is accompanied by local decrease in two-center delocalization indices within the pyrimidine rings. We found that the aromaticity exhibits a similar trend for NABs in both their isolated and stacked forms. Moreover, it is indicated that aromatic fluctuation index is more sensible index to delineate the aromaticity variation during stacking interaction.

Current therapeutic interventions in bone defects are mainly focused on finding the best bioactive materials for inducing bone regeneration via activating the related intracellular signaling pathways. Integrins are trans‐membrane receptors that facilitate cell‐extracellular matrix (ECM) interactions and activate signal transduction. To develop a suitable platform for supporting human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBM‐MSCs) differentiation into bone tissue, electrospun poly L‐lactide (PLLA) nanofiber scaffolds were coated with nano‐hydroxyapatite (PLLA/nHa group), gelatin nanoparticles (PLLA/Gel group), and nHa/Gel nanoparticles (PLLA/nHa/Gel group) and their impacts on cell proliferation, expression of osteoblastic biomarkers, and bone differentiation were examined and compared. MTT data showed that proliferation of hBM‐MSCs on PLLA/nHa/Gel scaffolds was significantly higher than other groups (P < .05). Alkaline phosphatase activity was also more increased in hBM‐MSCs cultured under osteogenic media on PLLA/nHa/Gel scaffolds compared to others. Gene expression evaluation confirmed up‐regulation of integrin α2β1 as well as the osteogenic genes BGLAP, COL1A1, and RUNX2. Following use of integrin α2β1 blocker antibody, the protein level of integrin α2β1 in cells seeded on PLLA/nHa/Gel scaffolds was decreased compared to control, which confirmed that most of the integrin receptors were bound to gelatin molecules on scaffolds and could activate the integrin α2β1/ERK axis. Collectively, PLLA/nHa/Gel scaffold is a suitable platform for hBM‐MSCs adhesion, proliferation, and osteogenic differentiation in less time via activating integrin α2β1/ERK axis, and thus it might be applicable in bone tissue engineering.  相似文献

We report on a method for the sensitive determination of Helicobacter that is based on fluorescence resonance energy transfer using two oligonucleotide probes labeled with CdTe quantum dots (QDs) and 5-carboxytetramethylrhodamine (Tamra) respectively. QDs labeled with an amino-modified first oligonucleotide, and a Tamra-labeled second oligonucleotide were added to the DNA targets upon which hybridization occurred. The resulting assembly brings the Tamra fluorophore (the acceptor) and the QDs (the donor) into close proximity and causes fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) to occur upon photoexcitation of the donor. In the absence of target DNA, on the other hand, the probes are not ligated, and no emission by the Tamra fluorophore is produced due to the lack of FRET. The feasibility of the method was demonstrated by the detection of a synthetic 210-mer nucleotide derived from Helicobacter on a nanomolar level. This homogeneous DNA detection scheme is simple, rapid and efficient, does not require excessive washing and separation steps, and is likely to be useful for the construction of a nanobiosensor for Helicobacter species.

A gas-diffusion flow injection method for the chemiluminescence detection of Hg(II) based on the luminol-H2O2 reaction was developed. The analytical procedure involved the injection of Hg(II) samples and standards into a 1.50 M H2SO4 carrier stream, which was subsequently merged with a reagent stream of 0.60% (w/v) SnCl2 in 1.50 M H2SO4 to reduce Hg(II) to metallic Hg. The gas-diffusion cell was thermostated at 85 °C to enhance the vaporisation of metallic Hg. Mercury vapour, transported across the Teflon membrane of the gas-diffusion cell into the acceptor stream containing 1.00 × 10−4 M KMnO4 in 0.30 M H2SO4, was oxidised back to Hg(II). The acceptor stream was merged with a reagent stream containing 2.50 M H2O2 in deionised water and then the combined stream was merged with another reagent stream containing 7.50 × 10−3 M luminol in 3.00 M NaOH at a confluence point opposite to the photomultiplier tube of the detection system. The chemiluminescence intensity of the luminol-H2O2 reaction was enhanced by the presence of Hg(II) in the acceptor stream. The corresponding increase was related to the original concentration of Hg(II) in the samples and standards. Under optimal conditions, the chemiluminescence gas-diffusion flow injection method was characterised by a linear calibration range between 1 μg L−1 and 100 μg L−1, a detection limit of 0.8 μg L−1 and a sampling rate of 12 samples per hour. It was successfully applied to the determination of mercury in seawater and river samples.  相似文献

A green, novel and extremely efficient nanocatalyst was successfully synthesized by the immobilization of Ni as a transition metal on Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated with tryptophan. This nanostructured material was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry and X‐ray diffraction. The prepared nanocatalyst was applied for the oxidation of sulfides, oxidative coupling of thiols and synthesis of 5‐substituted 1H‐tetrazoles. The use of non‐toxic, green and inexpensive materials, easy separation of magnetic nanoparticles from a reaction mixture using a magnetic field, efficient and one‐pot synthesis, and high yields of products are the most important advantages of this nanocatalyst.  相似文献

A green palladium (Pd)‐based catalyst supported on Rosa canina fruit extract‐modified graphene oxide [Pd nanoparticles (NPs)/reduced graphene oxide (RGO)‐Rosa canina] hybrid materials has been used as a recoverable and heterogeneous nanocatalyst for cyanating aryl halides using K4[Fe (CN)6] as the resource of cyanide. The nitriles were achieved in good to high yield, and the catalyst can be recovered and reused for up to seven cycles with no remarkable decrease in its catalytic activity.  相似文献

The new α-keto-stabilized phosphorus ylide Ph3PCHC(O)PhCN ( Y ) was synthesized by addition of triphenylphosphine to 2-bromo-4′-cyanoacetophenone, followed by treatment with NaOH 10%. Reaction of ligand ( Y ) with methanolic solution of mercury(II) halides under mild conditions yielded the binuclear complexes [Y·HgX2]2 [X=Cl ( 1 ), Br ( 2 ), I ( 3 )]. The new organic/inorganic composite polymer [Hg(NO3)2(Y)]n ( 4 ) was synthesized by the reaction of mercury(II) nitrate with the phosphorus ylide Y . Compounds synthesized were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared, 1H, 31P, and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic methods, which confirmed the coordination of ylide to the metal center through the ylidic carbon atom. Single-crystal X-ray structures of phosphorus ylide Y and polymeric complex 4 were also determined and the crystallographic data of complex 4 showed that the title complex has an infinite one-dimensional structure. Furthermore, the electronic and molecular structures of complexes 1 – 3 were investigated at the BP86/def2-SVP level of theory, indicating an increasing trend for C→M bond lengths: Hg2I2 > Hg2Br2 > Hg2Cl2 in [Y→HgX2]2 (X = Cl, Br, I) complexes. In addition, the antibacterial activity of ligand Y and all complexes using the agar disc diffusion method was examined against both selected gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Results indicated that the ligand Y and complexes 1 and 4 show good antibacterial effect against gram-positive bacteria tested; besides, the inhibition zones of complexes were significantly larger than those of chloramphenicol as standard.  相似文献
